Warranty Overview

Slamsid is a marketplace. Not every product has a warranty. Any warranty depends on the specific product, the seller, and the vendor (if one applies). Some sellers offer their own warranty. Some products include a vendor warranty. Terms can differ from listing to listing. The marketplace does not automatically provide a warranty for every item sold on the platform.

What Coverage May Exist

Vendor Warranties

If a vendor warranty applies to a product, that warranty is provided by the vendor, not automatically by the marketplace. Check the listing or product documentation for any stated coverage.

Seller Warranties

A seller may offer a warranty for a listing. Any such promise is the seller's responsibility. Review the listing before you buy.

Marketplace Support

The marketplace can help you contact the seller and may assist with communication or disputes. That assistance is not the same as a platform-wide product warranty.

Warranty vs Return

A return concerns whether an item can be sent back under the Return Policy (for example a wrong item, damage on arrival, or a listing that does not match the product). A warranty generally concerns a qualifying defect or failure covered by a seller or vendor warranty after a valid purchase. Use the Return Policy for immediate fulfillment problems and the warranty process for covered defects where a warranty exists.

How to File a Claim

Step-by-Step Claim Process
  1. Contact the seller and, if needed, marketplace support with your order number.
  2. Describe the issue and provide clear photos.
  3. If a vendor warranty applies, the seller or support may help you reach the vendor.
  4. Approved claims are handled according to the applicable warranty terms, which may include repair, replacement, or another remedy stated by the seller or vendor.
Proof of Purchase
  • Order confirmation or order number from the marketplace
  • Product model or serial number if available
  • Photos of the issue
  • Any warranty document that came with the product

Typical Warranty Exclusions

Common Exclusions

Warranties, where they exist, commonly exclude misuse, accidental damage, unauthorized modifications, improper use, failure to follow instructions, and normal wear and tear. The exact exclusions are those stated by the seller or vendor for that product.
